- Daniel was now an old man (approx. 80 years old). Even though he lived most of his life in captivity, what was his reputation?
- Why do you think the other leaders wanted to find a way to get Daniel in trouble? Do you think the king knew what was going on?
- Imagine being a Christian in a country where it is against the law to worship God. How would do in this situation? Would you go along with the crowd or would you risk your life to take a stand for Jesus?

- Daniel stuck with his daily routine of praying three times a day even though he knew he would be in trouble. Why do you think he did this?
- Why was the king so upset in vs 14?
- How do you think Daniel felt right before being thrown into the lion’s den?
- How do you feel before you do something hard? Talk to your family about ways to prepare ahead of time so that you are ready when hard times come.

- Who did Daniel give credit to for this miracle? How did the king respond?
- Spend some time talking with your family about what you have learned from the life of Daniel and his friends. Make a goal of something that you need to work on over the next few weeks to be more like Daniel.
