WELCOME TO FORGED & REFINED
Jesus told us in Matthew 22:36-40 that the greatest commandment is to “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.” The second is to “love your neighbor as yourself.” Our mission statement at MGBC - "Worship God, Serve Others” - reflects these commands as we love God through our worship of Him and we love others by serving them. Both of these commands are relational in nature.
The heart behind Forged & Refined is to grow these relationships: our vertical relationship with God and our horizontal relationships with others. While we can and should worship God in everything we do, we specifically focus on the areas of Bible Study, Prayer, and Self-Discipline as acts of worship. In an effort to serve others, we will complete various service activities as well as learn how to better serve in the local church. All of this is designed around accountability groups where other believers with the same goals can mutually encourage one another.
This plan can be adapted to the needs of your group so feel free to modify as needed. The “Points & Incentives” are there just as fun motivators to help us push toward goals we already want to meet. If you are looking for more of a challenge in any area, I encourage you to complete the “Above and Beyond” challenges in each growth area!
If you have any questions or if your group has any prayer requests, don’t hesitate to reach out throughout this round. Praying for each of you as we get started!
