WEEK 4: SANCTIFICATION (PART 2)
"Relational Status with God (Spiritual Growth)"
"Relational Status with God (Spiritual Growth)"
This week we will look at the second part of sanctification: “progressive” sanctification. Since the believer is rescued, this produces love and appreciation to God in the heart of the believer. We desire to grow and become more holy because of that love. We are to put off our “old self” which leads us toward sinful desires and put on the “new self” which is created in the likeness of God. Through the work of the Holy Spirit, we are becoming more like Christ.
Dig Deeper: This week we will be in Ephesians 4, Philippians 2, 1 Peter 1, Romans 8, and Galatians 5. Since we have already studied Romans 8 in Week 1, read it again this week in another translation.
