PHYSICAL CARE
The apostle Paul tells us that bodily training is of some value (1 Timothy 4:8). He also tells us our bodies are the temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 3:16). Forged & Refined include physical challenges in 3 areas: cardiovascular, strength, and nutrition.
Physical Growth Alternatives
- CARDIO: Each week will have a suggested goal for cardio activity (ex: 15 minutes on 3 separate days). This can include walking, running, biking, or any other form of cardio exercise.
- STRENGTH: This will include pushups, air squats, lunges, and crunches. Feel free to replace this with other comparable strength exercises.
- NUTRITION: This will include dietary restrictions or other activities regarding nutrition. Feel free to replace these with other dietary restrictions.
- BONUS: You will earn 1 extra point for completing all challenges and/or alternative challenges for the week.
Physical Growth Alternatives
- If you are physically unable to complete any cardio or strength exercises, you may replace them with alternative challenges. These will include Scripture memorization and/or watching short videos from The Bible Project on RightNow Media. (3 points each)

In these quick videos, Pastor Brian demonstrates how to properly do our strength exercises for physical care challenges. Also included are modified versions of each exercise. Feel free do use these modifications for your weekly challenges as needed.
